Catalyte is an alternative energy company with patented technology that eliminates carbon dioxide in electricity generation. The basis of the technology is a magnetically assisted power plant capable of making electricity from low-temperature heat sources, such as, (1) non-hot-spot geothermal, (2) solar thermal and (3) waste heat from coal-fired power plants. The technology surpasses Thermoelectric Generators or Organic Rankine Cycle technologies that are targeted at the same social benefit.
The technology, called MBPTM, derives from a new discovery in Thermodynamics (the aspect of science dealing with power and refrigeration systems). The published PCT patent PCT/US2007/087683 describes important traits of MBPTM.
By reducing carbon dioxide emissions, animal habitats and human life will be protected. The product applications are directed to two motivations: decreasing carbon dioxide in order to mitigate accelerated Climate Change and national energy independence. When each nation is energy independent, then the motivation for war over energy resources will be decreased.
